The positive aspects I experienced during my adoption process with this agency was everything I needed. Same for the questions, if there was anything I wanted to know about all I had to do was ask and I shortly received my answers. I loved the fact that with the agency I controlled what kind of family I wanted my child to be a part of.
I just wanted to say hello to you and let you know that one of the reasons I am in a better place (emotionally) is because of the help, love and support you provided to me during my difficult time.
We are just so incredibly grateful! I cannot tell you how much Joe and I appreciate the way everything has been handled from the moment we got the phone call from Meredith on May 4th. Every single person we have had contact with in your agency and Attorney Tate’s office have been helpful, informative, kind, and made this such a smooth process. We have been and will continue to recommend Heart of Adoptions to anyone we know that’s looking to create a family.
There are so many of you that had a huge impact on completing our family. I am amazed at how smoothly you all orchestrated together. Thank you for helping us through the difficult moments in such a wonderful and professional way!
Working with Heart of Adoptions to adopt our son was a very welcoming process. Prior to coming to Heart of Adoptions, we faced discrimination at more than one agency, so we were leery at first. However, we felt comfortable every step of the way. Not once were we pigeonholed. Not once were we stereotyped. They wanted the same thing we did: the absolute best for our growing family.
I was scared, alone, pregnant, and had no clue what to do. All I knew was that I wanted the beautiful life I was carrying around to have an amazing life … a life I couldn’t give her. Heart of Adoptions made that possible for me. It changed me in so many ways for the better. The whole experience. It made me a stronger woman and I can’t thank you enough for that! Y’all helped me at a time in my life that was so scary. I love sharing my story because it’s truly the thing I’m most proud of doing in my life.
New To Adoption?
The costs of adoption are wide-ranging, primarily depending on the birth mother’s living and medical expense needs. Generally, the costs range from $32,000 to as high as $45,000+. You will be able to tell us your adoption budget so we can stay within your parameters.
In matched situations where an adoptive family has already identified birth parents, fees typically range from $7,000 to $13,000 depending on the extent services will be provided.
Yes, Florida law permits adoptive parents to provide the actual and reasonable living expenses during the pregnancy and up to a maximum of six weeks following delivery if the birth mother is unemployed, underemployed or suffering from a medically diagnosed disability. This typically is handled through the agency.
The birth mother usually makes a “dream family list” that identifies the qualities important to her in an adoptive family. She is then presented with several families on our list that meet her requests and who have comfort levels matching her various social and medical history. She then selects from those families. Occasionally, birth mothers prefer us to select the adoptive family, and this is done in chronological order taking into consideration social/medical situations.
An independent investigation to verify your suitability as adoptive parents. They are valid for up to one year in Florida and can be updated easily. If you need assistance in obtaining a home study, Heart of Adoptions Alliance, Inc. can complete your home study or can refer you to a qualified professional if you live outside Florida.
No, we currently do not have any incoming programs, however, we can assist you with your international home study and post placement supervision requirements if you reside in Florida and have a primary provider in place.

The average age of children waiting in the foster care system on an adoptive home is between the ages of 8 and 10 years of age.
We encourage families to investigate their local county programs. There is a great need for foster parents in Florida! Many counties require that families foster first or foster only. The goal of the Hearts to Home program is to focus on the youth in care who are awaiting adoptive homes. We work with all 67 counties in Florida to provide foster-to-adopt homes for these youths. We also work out of state!
Yes. Adopting children from foster care is typically less expensive than domestic infant adoption. Adoption tax credits are often available to most families adopting through the Hearts to Home Program. We ask that families attend an Information Night and schedule a one-on-one meeting with a program representative to get an in-depth understanding of the fee structure.
